This section covers Merchant and Musician

Merchant

Class Intro

Every player can hock their wears, but it's the Merchant who gets the most bang for their buck. With their trusty abacus in tow, a Merchant can calculate exactly what they need, improving luck for material gathering and item crafting. Their knowledge of exclusive trade secrets allows them access to manufacturing special goods and services available nowhere else, and they know how to put their money to work for them - by using it to deal damage and extort unsuspecting monsters! Best of all, as a player grows in the Merchant job, they can open up additional selling stall slots and rack up a break on city taxes! It may not seem like a class primed for the heat of battle, but there are many advantages awaiting those willing to walk the path of the Merchant.

Most common builds for Merchant

2 Durability, 1 Dexterity per lvl Good Physical Defense and Physical Attack. Fair accuracy. Low evasion, HP and MP.

2 Agility, 1 Dexterity: Good Physical Attack and evasion. Fair accuracy. Low Physical Defense, HP and MP.

1 Durability 1, Agility 1 Dex per lvl: Good Physical Attack. Fair Physical Defense, evasion and accuracy. Low HP and MP. Soloist build.

2 Dexterity, 1 Agility per lvl: This build would work well with a sub such as Fencer or Thief, and would also work well as a party aoe build. Both Dex and Agi give you your attack power, but also give you accuracy and agility to dodge.

2 Agility, 1 Dexterity per lvl: This would be a good PvP build with subs such as Thief, but would also work well as a solo build.

2 Durability, 1 Power per lvl: another build for someone who wants to use Mercenary or Blademaster subs, but would rather use an Axe/Saber. You get both defense and attack power from Dura on Merchants.

2 Wisdom, 1 Agility per lvl: Another build for those who would like to use Doctor or Muse subs but have that extra boost of physical attack power as well as the Agi to decrease cooldowns and increase dodge rate.

Pure Durability: For those who want to use Mercenary subs and be a tank type.

Pure Power: This build would be good for people who want to be one of those 1-hit KO types, and use a sub such as Blademaster. Only downside to this build is that you would have no supporting stats such as Agility or Dex.

Pure Wisdom: For those who would like to mainly use the medicine crafting skills and sub Doctor or Musician. This build however gives you no physical attack power.


Trade Secrets

These skills use money to make shields, prepare insurance or make snacks for pets using ingredients collected from meditation.

Trade secrets also includes the ability to use medicine effectively - a useful talent for jobs that rely on medicine.

HP Medicine Boost
Increases healing effect to 50% when using HP healing medicine on team members or pets.

Make Metal Munchies
Produces Metal Snack that gives pet attacks a metal attribute.

MP Medicine Boost
Increases healing effect to 50% when using MP healing medicine on team members or pets.

Make Wood Munchies
Produces Wood Snack that gives pet attacks a wood attribute.

Cash Withdrawal
Cash withdrawal anytime, anywhere.

Make Earth Munchies
Produces Earth Snack that gives pet attacks a earth attribute.

Construct Coin Shield
Uses money to make a coin shield that improves physical and magical defense.

Make Water Munchies
Produces Water Snack that gives pet attacks a water attribute.

Underwrite Life Insurance
Reduces experience loss from death. Expires in 4 hours, or upon death.

Make Fire Munchies
Produces Fire Snack that gives pet attacks a fire attribute.


Money Talks

These skills use money and the abacus to attack or weaken enemies.

The damage most of these skills inflict is improved by a better physical attack power, but a few attacks using money are not affected by physical attack power of Merchant.

Coin Toss
Attacks the target with coins. Receive an IOU if successful.

Blood Money
Uses 5 IOUs to demand the enemy's life as payment.

Extortion
Uses an abacus to extort payments by force. Each successful hit yields gold. 3 IOU is used for each attack.

Bankeruption
An attack that inflicts damage for an amount of gold. Damage is capped.

Mathemattack
Flips coins and counts the heads as binary ones and tails as zeros to calculate damage. Higher levels get more heads.

Strapped for Cash
Strap money to yourself to attract spirits of ill fortune. Improves team members' fighting chance but lowers yours.

Money Rain
Attacks enemies in the surrounding area, but wastes a lot of money.

Doubloon Discharge
Make a doubloon from coins and throws it at the enemy. More effective if it hits the enemy in the head, face, hand, or foot.


Trading Skills

These skills let you equip abacuses whilst in different jobs.

Equip Abacus
The ability to equip abacuses.

Abacus Mastery
Allows abacuses to be used regardless of job at % of their full strength.

Tax Break
Reduces tax rate on stall.

Stall Upgrade
Number of stall slots increased.

Cash Windfall
Increases fixed HP recovery cast by %. 1/2 effect for non-Merchant occupations.


Musician

Class Intro

The musician plays a special role in the team. They usually don't fight directly but play music with instruments to improve the teams' and pets' abilities and combat powers. The musicians' musical performance can't be interrupted in order to maintain the improvements on the teams' and pets' capabilities.

Musical Magic

These skills attack enemies or strengthen team members by playing music on an instrument.

Sonic Swipe
Attacks enemy with sound. Increases your attack, M.ATK and attack speed. Effect may stack 3 times.

Supersonic Swipe
Attacks surrounding enemies with an explosive sonic wave.

Mystic Mantra
A chant that recovers nearby team members' MP over 40 seconds.

Transfusion Tune
A mysterious tune that converts HP into MP and passes it onto others.

Courageous Chorus
A song that boosts combat ability. Increases nearby team members' attack and magical attack.

Mars' Song
A song of the war god that grants nearby team members an increase in attack, accuracy and evasion.

Song of Concentration
A song that increases nearby team members' accuracy and magic accuracy.

Hymn to the Goddess
A song that grants nearby team members an increase in magic power, magic accuracy, and magic evasion

Diligent Ditty
Increases nearby team members' movement speed, evasion and magical evasion.

Echo Guard
Protects nearby team members by bouncing back damage and has a % chance of reflecting magical attacks.


Pet Sounds

These skills can cure or strengthen pets in a team and maybe used without equipping a musical instrument.

Soothing Serenade
A song that recovers the HP of nearby team members' pets.

Resurrect Pet
Resurrect a pet that has fallen in combat.

Song of Serenity
A song that recovers the MP of nearby team members' pets.

Pet Snack Song
A miraculous song that turns enemies into pet food! Attacks enemies and restores the HP and MP of nearby team members' pets.

Power Ballad
A song that raises morale. Improves nearby pets' attack and magical attack.

Pet Training Song
Nearby team members' pets get an accuracy bonus, magical accuracy, and reflects damage.

Defensive Ditty
A song that improves nearby pets' defense and magic defense.

Pet Prayer
Nearby team members' pets get an evasion bonus, magical evasion, and block success increased.

Cheery Tune
A happy song that increases nearby team members' pets' maximum HP and maximum MP.

Pet-Praising Song
Allies' pets get a critical attack bonus, movement speed, and HP and MP recovery goes up.


Bardship

These skills enable you to equip musical instruments whilst in different jobs.

Equip Musical Instrument
The ability to equip musical instruments.

Musical Instrument Mastery
Allows musical instruments to be used regardless of job at 5% of their full strength.

Soul Music
Increase effects of MP consuming skills you cast by %. 1/2 effect for non-Musician occupations.
